Hello to all members of the Burlington Conservative Association,
Yesterday the Government of Canada and Public Health officials asked Canadians to practice social distancing to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Also recommended was the cancellation or postponement of events and international travel.
I’ve connected with our Regional Organizer for the Conservative Party of Canada and confirmed that our Party has postponed gatherings until further notice. The CPC is encouraging each EDA to consider its own regional exposure and risk, and as a result our BCA executive has determined that it will postpone our Annual General Meeting currently planned for March 28th, out of the concern and best interest of our members.
You may have also seen that our House of Commons is suspended until April 20th.
We will continue to monitor the situation and will keep members updated through our website, emails and social media on the rescheduling of our AGM.
Ross Noble, President of BCA
