The Conservative Party’s Leadership Election Organizing Committee (LEOC) announced further details on the first leadership debate in Saskatoon, including a new date and time, the debate moderator, and ticket sales.

The first debate will be an English debate moderated by Kaveri Braid. Kaveri is a principal with Earnscliffe Strategy Group, and former advisor to the Saskatchewan government. Prior to her advisory role, she was an evening news anchor and reporter for CBC television, and was nominated for a Gemini award in 2007.

“We’re fortunate to have Kaveri moderate this first debate in our series. Her strong roots as a reporter and her experience in politics gives her unique insight, and will be an asset to help move the conversations along at our Saskatoon debate,” said Dan Nowlan, chair of LEOC.

The Saskatoon debate will take place at the Delta Bessborough‎ on November 9, 2016 at 7PM Central time. (Please note the change from November 10)

Ticket sales for the debate will open on October 6, 2016, and can be purchased by visiting http://www.conservative.ca/leadership/en/saskatoon. Seating is limited.

The Conservative Party will live stream all debates online for members and Canadians to watch.
